Don ‘t hurry. Don’t worry. You’re only here for a short visit. So don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.

Walter Hagen

As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round. Ben Hogan

It’s not only the scenery you miss by going fast, you also miss the sense of where you are going and why. – Eddie Cantor

The most important gifts you can give are your love, time, and attention. Slow down, take time to smile and enjoy loved ones. Life goes by way too fast. – Carla White

“Slow down. Take a deep breath. What is the hurry? Why wear yourself out? Just what are you after anyway? But you say, ‘I can’t help it. I am addicted to alien gods. I can’t quit.’ Jerimiah 2:25 (MSG)

I had not heard of The Message bible before, but interesting take on the more traditional version, like say the NIV: Do not run until your feet are bare and your throat is dry. But you said, ‘It’s no use!     I love foreign gods, and I must go after them.’

Or the USCCB: Stop wearing out your feet and parching your throat! But you say, “No use! No! How I love these strangers, after them I must go.”
